Des, Taruna, Justin and Anthon, You have given us an UNBELIEVABLY awesome vacation aboard the EMRYS! It completely blew away our expectations. Completely AMAZING food, Anthon, with outstanding accommodations for the food allergies of our various family members! Taruna, you so cheerfully anticipated our every need, brought us anything we requested, made our guest rooms look beautiful each morning and made us the BEST variety and quality of cocktails we have ever seen! Justin, your enthusiasm for our on and off boat activities was infectious, you made every moment an adventure and you took awesome videos of our vacation! And Des, you are the nicest, most competent captain we could imagine! Thank you ALL!!

Guest One: What can one say to perfection? Capt Des is charming and leads with integrity. Luke is always there, prepared with the right attitude. Chef Anthon, I can’t over communicate our “awe” of your talents. So much diversity, quality and flavor, 5 stars on everything you touch. Sweet Taruna to wake up daily to this smile, this kind of soul, is to truly be in paradise. You have all given us a taste of just that, paradise. Guest Two: Thank you for the great time we had aboard. On the positive side, Des is a great Captain, Justin was as well so nice and entertaining, Taruna and her beautiful smile and fantastic cocktails, last but not least, Anthon and his amazing food, every day a new surprise and a new taste. To the lovely crew, 8 days was not enough with you! In fact, when I sat down to write this last night, I got teary and was not prepared to say goodbye. You are the dream team in every sense. Your cherry demeanors, knowledge of the Exumas, and creative ways to keep us entertained were unmatched. We will miss you all! Thank you for the most amazing week. Captain Des – I’ll work on my jet ski skills until we meet again. Thank you for your great stories, excellent itinerary and for keeping us all safe. You were wonderful. Please come visit us! Thank you for what has undoubtedly been the best week of our lives! Everything was absolutely perfect, thanks to all of you. Captain Des - nightly storytime with you was the best! You kept us laughing and we learned so much about the beautiful islands. We also loved getting to see your family's home on Norman's - so beautiful! Chef Antone - thanks to you our clothes don't fit after a week of spectacular meals! You exceeded all of our expectations and blew it out of the water every time. We still can't stop talking about these ribs on the private island! Tavana - you are the queen of cocktails and just the loveliest, most friendly person ever. You always kept smiling and going the extra mile to help us make memories. We adore you! Luke - you are amazing. You documented every part of our trip to ensure that we'd have a beautiful reminder of this week. You never got stressed or tired (or at least you hid it well), you gave us fantastic trips, kept us safe on the toys, and were just great to be around. To our Emrys family, What a fantastic week have had aboard. Your attention to detail was evident daily. Antone... you never missed a beat. Everything was prepared perfectly. Every meal we had tasted different from the last. They were picture-perfect. The flavors were paired so well with each course. We will miss all the beautiful pastries customized for us. We hope to read about you in the next Michelin Guide. Rob... always ready, willing, and definitely able to keep us occupied even though we were and really enjoyed being on Emrys for most of the day. Loved waking up and seeing you smiling from sunrise to sunset. What an asset!! Des... you have gone above and beyond with all of our requests. And I know they weren’t easy to fulfill. We really enjoyed your familiarity with the islands and learned so much about the area. You made us feel comfortable and safe on and off the water. A truly skilled captain and a wonderful person as well. Thank you for all of your hard work. It did not go unnoticed. Megs, Megs, Megs...Emrys would not be the same without you. You have catered to our every request. Always ready with the daily cocktail, confirming that we are still content with our menu for the day, always checking on us, going above and beyond as well as making sure we are always full and well “hydrated.” Your attention to detail with your decorations made every meal feel different than the last. Thank you as well for fulfilling our requests for reservations and appointments. That was much appreciated. You are fantastic!! We will miss our Emrys family and hope to return soon.

Dear Des, Megs, Rob, and Anthon, Thank you for an amazing time on Emrys. You all went above and beyond taking us snorkeling, lobstering, fishing, tubing, and playing with water toys... Megs waiting with a yummy smoothie when we returned. The memories on Emrys are many but to highlight a few – spearfishing and getting a lobster that Anthon prepared for lunch the next day, fishing and catching a Wahoo, and again, Anthon preparing it jerk style and grilled with your amazing homemade sauces and Pico de Gallo. Cruising, snorkeling, looking for conchs, and Anthon preparing amazing conch chowder. Feeding the pigs and iguanas, nurse sharks, snorkeling the shipwreck and seeing reef sharks, a plane crash, going to the beach and finding shells, snorkeling down to the mermaid and piano. Each of you worked all day to make our trip so special. Megs, you always made everything perfect. From decorating and making the boat so festive, always checking to make sure we had everything we wanted, keeping the boat immaculately clean and organized, making us delicious smoothies when we retuned from our excursions, having clean towels waiting, filling us in on the Bahamian ways, you are amazing. Anthon, you will have to roll us off the boat. Thank you for your amazing meals. You are a pro. You were so kind to make everything from scratch from the delicious Thanksgiving dinner, homemade sauces and dressings, preparing our catches for us, your variety and thoughtfulness and time making breakfast lunch and dinner each day. We appreciate you Des and Rob, you made the trip so fun with the incredible excursions. Your endless energy always willing to take us to snorkel, tube, fish, play on the beach, explore the coral reefs, and kept us entertained from sun up to sun down and more. Thank you for your thoughtfulness in planning our days and always being helpful with what we would see and explaining what we needed to know and do. We had an amazing time thanks to each of you. We know we have left out numerous memories, but we just wanted you to know what an amazing vacation this was thanks to each of you. To the benevolent crew of M/Y Emrys, The ***** family is eternally grateful for your hospitality and kindness on what was our greatest family vacation ever. Thank you for being so helpful and patient with our little kids. I can promise you that all three of our kids will remember this crew for the rest of their lives. To Justin, thank you so much for being so fun with the kids. They loved the tubing and the sand castles – you are simply the very best my friend. Celebrating a 2022 graduate from UNC, a 2020 graduate (who never for a celebration due to covid), and two birthdays! What a fabulous week. We had to change our trip itinerary to adjust for a tropical storm, but even so this amazing crew made it all happen! We swam with the pigs, the sharks, the rays... we snorkeled with the turtles! Caught two glorious Mahi Mahi (the fish so nice they named it twice)! We water skied, wake boarded, paddle boarded, explored private beaches. Had lunch off boat at Staniel Cay Yacht Club, dinner off boat at McDuffs at Norman Cay. We got to swim around Pablo Escobar’s sunken airplane at Norman – which was one of the highlights of the trip. But the primary highlight was the incredible crew! Des, Megs, Justin, and Anthon. Wow! Did we score the perfect group for our experience. Everyone was so attentive to our every need – the service was over the top excellent. Outstanding in every way. We especially loved the welcome towels with peppermint scent and the variety of shot cocktails! The theme dinners with appropriate decorations were awesome too – and the food!! Michelin 5-star!! The chef’s table on our final night was a huge hit! The *** family will be back again for sure. Many many thanks for making our experience so extraordinary. We had such a great week on board despite having to navigate some tricky weather. Kudos to this crew for an awesome ‘pivot’ and for making it so much fun along the way.

So you can imagine a family who has visited the Exumas/Bahamas many times before, we had very high expectations. To say that you exceeded all of them is a true measure of your commitment to share your love for this beautiful place with us. We cannot thank you enough for accommodating our crazy food requests. That was obvious when you delivered a “Kit Kat” birthday cake to the Kit Kat birthday girl! It makes the parents so happy when the kids are over the moon and appreciating every moment as much as we did, and I mean every moment. Each excursion, each meal, each table decor, each special touch. They all added up to one of the best vacations we have ever had and we have been lucky enough to have some amazing trips. So bravo Team Emrys, we will remember this trip as one of the best and that has everything to do with the four of you!
