Captain Stefan: Growing up in Ukraine, Stefan always believed that his future career and happiness would
be “out on the water”.
Alongside his sailing passion, Stefan developed an affinity for languages and we are proud
of his fluency in English, Italian, German, Russian and of course his native Ukrainian.
Living in Italy for over 20 years now, he holds both his RYA Yacht Master Offshore as well
as an Italian Nautical Licence. With his dedication to the Yacht Charter sector, it goes
almost without saying that he has the highest commitment to guest hospitality and
service . Following a number of years on Catamarans gradually progressing to Lagoon 620’s,
chartering in the Tyrrhenian Sea and using his local knowledge of Southern Italy, we are
delighted that Stefan is now leading our Team Lir “out on the water”

Chef Francesca: Whilst completing her Biology Degree in Salerno University, Francesca started her Chef Francesca
sailing and yacht charter career for the summer season of 2016 as Stewardess-Chef
on her first Catamaran, a Lagoon 560.
It was not long before she was producing enticing food on Lagoon 620s.
Since then Francesca has focussed on becoming a brilliant “yacht chef”, using all her
local experience and knowledge of Italian and Mediterranean food and wines. To
compliment this Mediterranean style, Francesca has developed a thorough
knowledge of different foods and diets from around the world, thereby ensuring
that our guests benefit from her skills whatever their preferences.
Team Lir are just delighted that Francesca has joined us, bringing her constant good
humour and Italian flair in the galley and Francesca is also a fluent English speaker .

Steward-Water Sports Daniel Daniel grew up in South Africa always gravitating to the sea and water sports
becoming an experienced kite-surfer and loving his fishing.
As soon as it was feasible he qualified for a future career at sea with his RYA PowerBoat
and Open Water Diving and then graduated into yacht sailing and water-craft.
He can also add a lot of fun to any charter, not just “out on the water” but also with his
other passion - for photography and drone operation.
To round out his present skills sets, Daniel has also enjoyed graduating from a
SuperYacht Steward training program.
This will be his second full season with Lir in the Tyrrhenian Sea and Corsica areas.

Relief captain and maintenance manager: Darragh has sailed professionally for more years than he cares to remember, so brings with
him a wealth of knowledge and experience. With more than 150,000 miles notched up around
the globe, Darragh’s focus is to ensure that all of our guests have the best possible
experience, during their time on Lir.
Darragh has spent a considerable amount of his life in the Mediterranean, plus areas as varied
as Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Darragh is “always there” for our Team on Lir, to ensure the highest standards of guest
hospitality, yacht maintenance and refurbishment are maintained.
