CREW FOR THE 2023/2024 SEASON

Matt Talmage

Matt was born in the UK and learnt to sail along the UK coast with many trips to France and the UK Channel iIslands before getting the break to become a charter captain around the Greek Islands. After a few seasons there he returned to the UK but by then he had been spoiled with sailing in warmer waters and the colder UK weather didn´t cut it! In 2016 he found an opportunity to work in the BVI as a captain and sailing instructor so he jumped at the chance! When Covid hit he took a yacht delivery job up to Florida where he met his beautiful wife and they have since settled back down in the Islands together. Matt holds a RYA Yachtmaster as well as USCG credentials. In his spare time he enjoys diving for lobster and relaxing on the beach.

Jana Talmage

Jana is originally from Florida´s East coast and grew up alongside the water and beautiful beaches. She trained as a Master Stylist and worked for 18 years as a hair stylist in the Orlando area before meeting her husband Matt by chance when a restaurant only had shared tables available for lunch! After getting married on one of St John´s beaches they decided to move to St Thomas at the end of 2021 and have worked together as a team on boats delivering fantastic food and service. Last summer Matt & Jana ran a few charters in Greece and the Mediterranean style has inspired her menu and dishes. In her spare time Jana loves to walk along the beaches on the lookout to increase her sea glass collection.


CREW FOR THE 2023 OFF-SEASON DOWN ISLAND CHARTERS

Capt. Chistopher Yerkes

Captain Chis grew up in the Midwest where he spent most of his time diving, fishing, wakeboarding, and exploring the Great Lakes. He joined the United States Coast Guard where he captained search and rescue missions, while living in tropical Kauai, Hawaii. Most of his time was spent diving, surfing, volunteering in beach cleanups, and enjoying the pristine blue waters around the islands. It was in Hawaii that he learned to create his truly amazing specialty cocktails, that soon would become famous throughout the islands! His extensive knowledge and devotion for marine life is highly appreciated when spending time with the guests, as he shares interesting facts and his knowledge about local marine life and reefs. Chis moved back to the mainland where he settled in South Florida and met Caroline. They quickly realized their joint passion for the water and decided to purchase a catamaran and sail off into the sunset, starting in the Caribbean!

Caroline Panissaud

Caroline grew up in the South-West France where she developed an appetite for some of the best cuisine in the world. She learned to cook many traditional dishes at an early age while helping her grandmother in the kitchen. Looking to see more of the world, she moved to Australia, where her love for creating dishes continued to develop while working in a French restaurant and bakery in Sydney. “Down under” she discovered an enjoyment for snorkeling, while exploring the Great Barrier Reef. After a few years she relocated to the crystal blue waters of the Bahamas. While in Bahamian waters she spent time sailing in-between islands and enjoying all the Caribbean has to offer. She developed a respect for the ocean while helping to coordinate and participate in beach and ocean cleanups. Caroline finally settled down in South Florida where she learned different culinary technics thanks to a strong Latin American influence on the local food.

Rates Rates
This vessel is legal to conduct charters in the BVI. The crew are in the process of obtaining annual BVI work permits for the 2023/2024 season. BVI customs and cruising permit fees are included in the rate. Preferred pick up is St. Thomas. BVI pick ups are possible but limited to 7 per season. GENERAL NOTES: MINIMUM NIGHTS: 5, Inquire for less For 6 night charters, divide weekly rate by 7 nights X 6 nights. For 5 nights or less, divide weekly rate by 6 nights X number of nights. SLEEP ABOARD: Available for half of the daily rate. Includes boarding after 4pm, snacks, welcome cocktails & continental breakfast. Dinner ashore is additional. Select option upon booking. EXCLUDES: Christmas and New Year's weeks. HOLIDAYS: Christmas Flat Rate $32,000 7 night minimum. Charter must end on or before 12/26/2022 New Years Flat Rate $36,000 7 night minimum. Charter must start no earlier than 12/27/2022 HALF-BOARD OPTION: 7 nights ($150 off per person) - Includes 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches & 3 dinners aboard - with all other meals to be taken ashore at client expense LOCAL-FARE OPTION: 7 nights ($75 off per person) - Includes: 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches & 6 dinners. Matt and Jana, although it is tempting to give top billing to the enchanting chef/first mate Jana, it is the seamless manning that Capt. Matt performs the operation of the vessel that makes this extraordinary experience just that - extraordinary. The series of excursions and diversions makes 7 days seem twice as long. The dining from breakfast to dinner, desserts is a deeply memorable series of delights. It would be difficult to imaging two more delightful souls to guide and pamper their guests through an utterly unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!

Captain Matt and Chef/Best Mate Jana, we have absolutely enjoyed our time onboard! You knowledge of the islands and oceans are extraordinary!
