Finlay grew up sailing on the west coast of Scotland. In his early teens, he and his family moved to Gibraltar where he further developed this passion. Sailing was temporarily side-lined whilst he competed internationally for the Scotland Rowing Team and pursued a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Whilst studying, he sought out long delivery passages around Portugal, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean, cementing his love for sailing and obtained his PADI diving certification.
Between his engineering and masters degree in Sustainable Finance, he moved to Miami where he worked as a captain for a Marine Biology company surveying the coral reefs off the Florida coastline.
Working in London for some time as an analyst in energy trading, his call to the sea continued to be ever present and steadfast and he finally committed to a permanent career in the sailing industry completing his RYA Yachtmaster offshore and the pursuit of running term charters.
Rose is a friendly, fun-loving individual with a desire for shaping a positive guest experience. Having grown up on a farm in the Cotswolds, England, Rose developed a love for sports and the outdoors from an early age.
After school Rose pursued an adventure in Australia traveling and working there as a family chef/nanny for a year, then travelled through Australia and to Southeast Asia and eventually back to Scotland where she completed a degree in Geography, specializing in climate science and sustainability.
She fell in love with diving and spending time on the water from a young age, becoming a PADI Open Water diver at the age of 12 and now has her Advanced PADI diving certification which she obtained whilst sailing in the BVI's. She is currently working to achieve her divemaster certification and looks forward to specializing in marine conservation.
Rose's love for food and cooking healthy food, came from both her upbringing on local fresh produce on the farm and private cheffing experience. This passion led to her undertaking a culinary course at the prestigious Edinburgh New Town Cookery School, to further develop her skills. Throughout her studies, Rose worked for private households as a chef and as a host for a luxury chalet company, whilst skiing in the French Alps.
Finlay and Rose are super excited to be running charters on Tedavi and can't wait to share the magic of the VI with their guests.
